Ridge and Valley Conservancy (RVC), a non-profit land trust located in Blairstown, N.J., announced that Margaret “Margie” Schiller, a current board member, has been elected to serve as President of the Board of Trustees. Ms. Schiller succeeds Robert “Bob” Canace, former President and a founding member of RVC.
A long-time resident in northwestern NJ, Ms. Schiller has been active in RVC for many years. She became familiar with the organization as a frequent preserve visitor which led to her volunteering in various capacities and eventually accepting an invitation to join the Board of Trustees. Most recently, Ms. Schiller served as Vice President.
“Ridge and Valley Conservancy's mission of preserving forests and open fields, safeguarding clean air and water, and sustaining natural habitats for endangered species contributes to our own health and the health of the planet. I am proud to serve a local organization that protects our greatest resources,” commented Ms. Schiller.

Her enthusiasm and passion for the issues of preservation and open space in northwestern NJ, coupled with her driving commitment to serve others, generate a strong voice of leadership for RVC.”
The remaining members of RVC’s Board of Trustees include Vice President George Schaberg, Treasurer Jason Kurtz, Bob Canace - Chair of the Land Protection Committee, Bob Lewis - Chair of the Stewardship Committee, Lynda Tower - Co-Chair of the Development Committee, Christine Hepburn, Joel McGreen, Elizabeth Marshall, and Sharon Wander.
